Floating roof tanks are widely used to store large quantities of petroleum products. They are fitted with a floating roof that rises and falls as the liquid level in the tank changes. 90% of the fires in open floating roof tanks start in the seal area between the floating roof and the tank wall, known as rimseal. Angus Rimseal Pourers and the Floatafoam system are designed to apply foam into the rimseal in the event of a fire.
